Chris Gannon

Partner/Founder

A partner and founder of Nexus Capital, Gannon has had a background in finance and real estate development. Formerly President of QP Capital, Gannon worked directly with regional and community banks providing an outsource for commercial loans and loan portfolio sales to REITS, Hedge Funds, Investment Bankers and Life Companies. Prior to that, he served as Director of Business Development for AmVest Capital, where he focused on innovative growth-oriented financial strategies. Gannon initiated a partnership with Deutsche Bank, providing an investment strategy for community banks and credit unions nationwide. For over 13 years, Gannon was a Real Estate Developer and Builder, and was Owner/President of Quality Properties. He built, managed, and marketed several real estate developments within the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Gannon’s community involvement has included the Chairperson for two terms of the School Improvement Council for Hilton Head Island High School, St. Andrew By-The-Sea United Methodist Church, (Liturgist Usher, Staff Parish Committee), Chairperson of Allenwood Property Owners Association, Chairperson of The Residences at Bluffton Village Property Owners Association and the Beaufort County School District - Capital Improvements Committee, raising over $190 million for the school system. He also frequently volunteers for Pockets Full of Sunshine, a non-profit designed to foster job and social skills for adults with disabilities.

Gannon holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina and is a SC Real Estate Broker and SC Licensed Builder.

Randy K. Dolyniuk

Partner

Dolyniuk is a career banking executive. Prior to joining Nexus Capital, he created Southern Financial Group, a business and banking consultancy. Previously, he was the Founder and former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CoastalSouth Bancshares, Inc. and CoastalStates Bank.

Dolyniuk has over 44 years of banking experience.  His expertise is centered in community banking, sales, credit and operational management.  He was a founding member of three southeastern financial institutions, serving on private and public bank boards in various capacities, including Credit, Compensation, Audit and Governance.   He also managed a failed bank acquisition for Anchor Bank, in addition to being on the management team for whole bank acquisitions along the coast of South Carolina.  Further, after successfully merging Anchor Bank, he served as a regional president and management team member of the largest South Carolina based multi-state financial institution, Carolina First Bank.  

Dolyniuk has been a resident of Hilton Head Island, SC for over forty years.  Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Technical College of the Low Country Foundation and is instrumental in building the Culinary Institute of the South. He is passionate about technical workforce development.  Further, he is Vice Chairman and serves as the acting Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Technical College of the Lowcountry. He has served on the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Bankers Association, former member of the ABA Legislative Grassroots Committee, former Chairman of the SCBA’s Federal Legislative Committee, former Board Chairman of the SCBA Bankers School, former Chairman of the Beaufort County (SC) Economic Development Board, current Trustee of Providence Presbyterian Church Corporation, former Treasurer of the Community Foundation of the Low Country, former Board Chairman of Hilton Head Christian Academy and has served in leadership positions for numerous other local organizations.

Dolyniuk is a Terry Business School graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.

Jeff O'Dowd

Partner/Founder

A partner and founder of Nexus Capital, O’Dowd was Managing Director of Capital Markets & Institutional Equity Sales for Legg Mason/Stifel, Nicolas & Co. in Boston where he was the financial consultant for European pension plans, asset managers, and banks with a minimum of 10 billion dollars in assets under management allocated to U.S. equities. During his tenure with Legg Mason, he designed and implemented a comprehensive marketing and training program in Europe for equity analysts and company managers. Prior to that, O’Dowd was Vice President of Institutional Equity Sales with Kemper Securities/Everen Securities in New York City, where he oversaw the creation of a new European sales division for the company.

In the late 80s and early 90s, O’Dowd resided in Atlanta, and was Private Client Wealth Manager for Lehman Brothers where he managed 300 million dollars in diverse assets. Prior to that, he served as Private Client Wealth Manager for Robinson, Humphrey, & Co, also in Atlanta.

O’Dowd has been actively involved with the Answer House Boston Drug & Rehabilitation Program, the American Heart Association, and the NMD Foundation. O’Dowd holds a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University and completed the CFP Program with Kaplan Financial, as well as holds multiple securities licenses.
